The goal of this project was to design a bi-fold brochure and poster set for the Chicago Jazz Festival. We were given a challenge to use only the power of color and typography to convey a look and feel that captured the vibe of the event. The idea behind my design showcased the urban art style of the city of Chicago, in addition to the sporadic nature and unpredictability of jazz music.
The simple contrasting color pallet is meant to catch the eye of event goers and on-lookers. The electric blue captures the energy of the event and music genre as well as reflects the common color present in the buildings of the city skyline and surrounding Lake Michigan.
